Message from the Master
Brethren,
Things are beginning to look up for us in terms of having new brethren joining us.
We read 3 applications at the last stated meeting and are preparing to have these candidates meeting with the Committees of Inquiry. So as we get ready to go dark for the summer, we'll have a slate of Ritual work waiting for us in the early Fall.
As you may have noticed from the Masthead, this Trestle-board will combine the months of May and June. This is in an effort to help cut costs as the economy is crunching us all.
Also, in an effort to cut our costs, If any brethren would like to receive the Trestle-board electronically, please let me know so I can forward that information to the necessary outlet.
Fraternally,
Wor. Tony Roy
An Early Santacy Message from Wor. Morton
Brethren,
As the immediate Past Master I have been given the reins for this year’s Santacy Program. Many of you are probably wondering why I am writing about the Santacy Program when we are many months from Christmas. First, I want to make sure that we have another successful fund raising year, and consequently I will be communicating often with you all. Secondly, I have some ideas concerning the families that will benefit from your generosity this December. In discussion with other Brethren, and in line with my own thoughts, I want to explore helping some of the needy military families in the Greater Lewiston/Auburn area. Many of these families have given much to this country and will be spending this Christmas with loved ones defending our freedom in far away lands.
To help me make sure I am heading in the right direction, and to get an early indication of those willing to help this year, I would like to meet with all interested Brethren prior to our next Stated meeting on May 13th. I will hold a brief meeting at 6:45 in the downstairs of the Lodge Hall. Those interested in expressing their thoughts and ideas, or that would like to help this year, are encouraged to attend.
If you can't attend, and would like to talk with me, you can reach me at home at 998-4533.
You can also send me an e-mail at fmorton44@roadrunner.com.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to my role in regards to the Santacy Program.
Fraternally,
Wor. Frederick. H. Morton, Jr.
