Welcome to Mesa Lodge No. 68 where Masonry is alive and thriving! We at Mesa Lodge are men of good character who strive to improve ourselves and make our community a better place to live. We do that by having activities that promote Family, Charity, and Fellowship.

Family....We promote family participation at all our activities. We serve a large and elaborate family dinner at our stated meeting on the first Thursday of each month. We have an active Womens Auxiliary, which provides a wide variety of activities for the ladies while the men are attending the Lodge meeting. We host a family campout each summer on the San Juan River.

Charity....Mesa Lodge is active in the community. We sponsor the Scottish Rite Language Disorder Center, Jobs Daughters Bethel #2, Mesa Chapter DeMolay, New Day Youth Services, and other activities.

Fellowship....We have a Square Club after each meeting in the recreation room which includes two pool tables, card tables, and big screen TV with DVD player. All members are encouraged to use the facilities at any time for the purpose of a game of pool with a friend, a cup of coffee, or to watch a DVD movie on the big screen TV.

If you are interested in joining Mesa Lodge, come visit us the first Thursday of the month. Dinner is served at 6:15 PM; or call us at 505-255-1902 if you would like more information.  Our email address is:  mesalodge68@aol.com

Come join us!

FROM THE EAST

My year is quickly coming to an end, and it is now time to elect our leaders for the coming year.  Come, show your support, and tell them how you plan to assist them this next year. Remember that there is no better way to get the full benefits of Masonry than by being active in “Your Lodge”.

I hope you and your family will join us for our stated meeting on Thursday, November 5th.  We will be serving our traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.

We will be holding our monthly “Landmark Folding Party” on Thursday, November 19th.  Please join us at 7:00 PM for fun and fellowship as we get the December Landmark ready for mailing.

Please check Mesa Lodge web page for the latest information and schedule of events.

See you at Lodge,

WB Greg Ward,  Worshipful Master

FROM THE CHARITY CORPORATION

This month we would like to bring you up to date on further improvements to your building.  Our Library is now taking shape under the direction of Bro. Justin Wharton, who is an accredited librarian.  Our library has more than doubled in size thanks to books from Hiram Lodge’s library and from the Masonic library of our beloved brother George Puckett.  We have obtained two new book cases which will allow Bro. Justin the ability to make our library one of the finest Masonic Libraries in Albuquerque.  Just remember…you are always welcome to use the library for research or casual reading.

I would like to remind everyone that the vehicle collection program is in full swing.

We have taken in several cars this past month, and still need your unwanted vehicles!   When you donate your vehicle (running or not) to Mesa Charity Corp., you are help to further the charitable work of your corporation.  As an added benefit to you, you receive a full tax deduction for your gift.  Please contact Carl Cataline or myself for no-cost vehicle pick-up.

Fraternally,

RWB Jim Czel, CEO, Mesa Charity Corporation

FROM MESA CHAPTER DE MOLAY

Mesa Chapter is at it again with another busy November planned. On Saturday, Nov 14th, the Chapter will be visiting the National Atomic Museum to learn about the important role of nuclear science in our nation and state's histories as well as the role of nuclear weapons in World War II.

The next weekend, Saturday, Nov 21st, the Chapter will be going indoor rock climbing to stay active even as the weather outside gets cooler and cooler.

Also, the Chapter will be planning a Masonic Youth dance for December along with the DeMolays of Metro Chapter, and the Rainbow and Job's girls from the local area.

Our stated meetings will be on Tuesday November 3rd and 17th at 7:30PM.

November is an important time for DeMolays all around the world. On November 8th we observe Frank S. Land Memorial Day to commemorate and memorialize the life of our Order's founder. It's hard to believe that without the initiative, drive, and will to help others of one man, our Order might not exist today. Nor might any other Masonic Youth organization, for that matter. Dad Land realized the impact adults can make in the lives of young people, and set forth on a venture where the Masonic Family would produce the leaders of tomorrow. Today, we,

the Masonic Family, carry on that tradition and are encouraged and pledged to seeing that dream lives on. We, therefore, set aside this month to honor Dad Land's memory and all of his great accomplishments.

Fraternally,

Bro. Michael Thorning, Mesa Chapter Order of DeMolay

FROM JOB’S DAUGHTERS BETHEL No 2

Our girls have had a wonderful summer, with Sep 9 being our first meeting. We would really like to have sidelines at any of our meetings. We meet the first and third Mondays at 7pm and all are welcome to attend.

As honored queen, I was thinking about having a Mason shadow night where any Mason who wants to will come to the meeting and shadow a girl for the night.  They would be the girl’s station for the night so all Masons who would be interested please let me know and we’ll talk more about it as it’s soon to come.

FROM THE WHITE SHRINE

Greetings to all sojourners!

Please try to attend the meeting on November 28th at 6pm. This will be our last chance to practice before our visit from the Supreme Worthy High Priestess in January since we are dark in December. And since we are dark in December, let me be the first to wish you Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas! We are also still taking petitions if you have any friends who would like to join the order.

Fraternally,

Kathy Vanderpool,  PWHP
